Our Pollinator Paradise Flowering Lawn Seed Mix is the ideal solution for a resilient, pollinator-friendly lawn. This mix will provide an attractive green lawn with a soft, cushiony feel underfoot, while blooms nourish pollinators. Drought resistant Yarrow, Clover, and dwarf fine Fescue grasses thrive in dry conditions and poor soils, improve soil health, and prevent erosion. Mow for a traditional tidy look, or skip mowing for a flowering meadowscape. Our seeds are non-GMO, neonicotinoid-free, and guaranteed to grow.

Sparse Results After 7 Weeks

"I applied the seeds 7 weeks ago in late March during the week of my area's average last frost date. I live in zone 8 in southeast VA. I killed as many roots for grass and weeds by smothering with black plastic for from August to March all over my property, raked the dead roots and soil loose as I can't use a sod cutter due to tree roots galore, lightly tossed some leftover compost around, applied seeds, walked all over the place to push the seeds into the soil and have watered 2-3x/day daily except on the days where rain fell heavily. I sowed 2 additional times at 2-3 week intervals with the last sowing being about 16 days ago. It's been 7 weeks total and the seeds have germinated sparsely after sowing 3x and lots of watering. Clover and yarrow are sprouting in sunnier areas of my backyard. No fescue (yet). Yarrow has started sprouting in the area under the trees that was full sun till the trees' leaves grew out 1 month ago. On my hellstrip/boulevard on the street, I see the yarrow growing. Temps have been all over the place with daytime temps in the 80s and low 90s starting 4-5 weeks ago. Nighttime temps have been firm in the 50s for the past 2-3 weeks. I have low faith of increased germination and of any germination of the fescue grasses contained in this mix despite sowing 3x and watering 1-3x/day like I mentioned. The mix is supposed to grow in cooler temps, but my area is losing its days of cool temps and I am not getting much results. This mix might work for some people, but this mix isn't doing well for me. I will be looking for other mixes because I am sick of watering 2-3x/day these past 7 weeks and still having a mostly bald backyard."

Excellent germination!

"I cleared my side yard of mostly weeds and sparse grass, raked and leveled the dirt and put down the entire 5 lb bag of seed to ensure I had excellent coverage of the area. Happily, after faithful am & pm watering within a week I started seeing sprouting and now after almost 4 weeks the area is fully sprouted and green! With such a great outcome, I do plan on ordering another 5 pounds in the spring to continue transforming areas of my yard. I am thrilled with the results and look forward to the full effect of the flowers come spring and in years to come. I highly recommend these seeds!"

Better than grass!

"This has done fantastic in areas that I couldn't get other crop cover to take. Will be ordering more!"
